SYNOVETIN OA
TOOL: FIGMA
YEAR: 2022
Synovetin OA is a non-surgical injection used to treat Canine Osteoarthritis. The injection is available at several licensed treatment centers across the United States
Responsibilities
UX design, digital wireframing, and low fidelity prototyping
The PRoblem
Synovetin needed a mobile friendly UX redesign for their landing page. The page was originally designed with desktop users in mind.
Recent analytics showed that on average, most users were using a mobile device to book appointments. Additionally, most users were not gravitating towards the "Find A Treatment Center" map function located towards the bottom of the page.
Synovetin felt that the map was one of the most important parts of the site and needed help figuring out a way to attract more attention to it while keeping their mobile audience in mind.
THE SOLUTION
Rework the landing page UX based on Synovetin's hierarchy of user needs and give users exactly what they're looking for as quickly as possible.
THE DESIGN
Being tasked with finding a way to relieve your dogs pain is a less than ideal situation. Users visiting the Synovetin site may be experiencing some stress.
Giving users a clear unobstructed path to getting their dog the help it needs Vs. confusing them and fueling their upset is the number one design priority.
User Journey
Wireframes
I presented the client with three different layout choices, each representing a different priority.
The first design places an emphasis on simplicity. The only elements presented are info about the injection and the map.
The second design places an emphasis on contacting a vet and gathering additional resources (phone number, email, etc.) before using the map at the bottom of the page.
The third design places an emphasis on urgently finding a treatment center, placing the map on top of the page and providing additional information underneath.
THE OUTCOME
The redesign was approved by the client and all 3 wireframes were handed off to the developer team. Analytic/conversion data will be updated in the coming months.
